Free Range hunting Kaikoura Ranges
Our property in the Kaikoura Ranges has abundant feral wildlife - 5000 acres of hunting paradise. We cater for all standards of fitness and ability. It is blessed with very good access which can enable the hunter to stalk their prey. Believe us – this property will “blow you away” (excuse the pun!)
The hut is rustic but very comfortable - but that is all part of being one with the wild. (Imagine sitting around the pot belly stove, revisiting the day's hunt, a glass of tawny port in hand, venison being cooked all under the starry sky). The hut is fully powered by a generator and has full bathroom facilities. It is possible to view animals wandering around whilst sitting on the balcony.
Hunts range from a 2 day, one night option to 7 days of hunting heaven.
Our Package Hunts include:
- your guide
- transfers from Christchurch
- firearms (if needed)
- accommodation in the hunting hut and catering
- the animal

The Roar – April to end of May each year
This is not for the faint hearted – and it would pay to be able to shoot straight!
If you want the ultimate hunting experience then you need to be in New Zealand for the Roar. The adrenaline will be pumping as both you and the animal hunt each other.
It doesn’t get any better than this so you will need to book early for this experience.
Hunting for the physically disabled
Our property is suitable for people who have physical disabilities. We can drive you right up to the hut. The hut and bathroom facilities are able to accommodate wheelchairs.
We then drive up the mountains and can hoist those that need it into a tree where you get a great view of the animals as they approach.
